H.E. Consul General LIU Fei Met with Mr. Okenge Yuma Morisho of the BC Intergovernmental Relations Secretariat

On August 10, H.E. LIU Fei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Vancouver, met with Mr. Okenge Yuma Morisho, Deputy Minister for the Intergovernmental Relations Secretariat in the Office of the Premier and Ms. Lucy Lobmeier, Chief of Protocol.

Deputy Minister Yuma Morisho said B.C. government led by Premier John Horgan attaches great importance to the friendly cooperation between China and Canada and expressed appreciation to Consul General LIU Fei for her active role as Dean in promoting the cooperative relationship between BC government and the Consular Corps members. B.C. government will further strengthen its ties with the Consular Corps to expand cooperation.

Consul General LIU Fei pointed out that China is the second largest trade partner of Canada. The two nations enjoy sound cooperation in the fields of education, science and technology and culture. It is expected that the BC government led by Premier John Horgan continue to deepen bilateral cooperation between China and Canada and hope the provincial government leader would find time to meet the Consular Corps members to promote exchanges with related countries.
