H.E. Consul General LIU Fei Bid Farewell to Yukon Premier Sandy Silver

On July 30, H.E. LIU Fei, Consul General of the People’s Republic of China in Vancouver, bid farewell to Hon. Sandy Silver, Premier of Yukon in Whitehorse, Capital City of Yukon. Mr. Larry Bagnell, Yukon Member of Parliament was present.

Consul General LIU Fei thanked Premier Sandy Silver for the support during her tenure as the Chinese Consul General, pointed out that China-Canada relationship enjoyed sound momentum with fruitful achievements made in a wide range of areas including politics, economy, trade, education,culture, and closer people-to-people connections. She felt proud to bring along the Chinese Kong Fu show to Whitehorse in Yukon for cultural exchanges to deepen cultural cooperation and friendship.

Premier Sandy Silver felt sorry to see Consul General LIU Fei leave soon. He spoke highly of her unremitting efforts to promote bilateral cooperation in tourism and Yukon-Shaanxi sister-province relationship, emphasized Yukon government attaching great importance to friendly relationship and cooperation between China and Canada and would like to expand exchanges to further deepen the bilateral ties.
