H. E. Consul General LIU Fei Bid Farewell to Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon

On July 18, H.E. LIU Fei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Vancouver, bid farewell to Hon. Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia.

Consul General expressed appreciation for Her Honour's attaching great importance to Sino-Canada relationship and reviewed the moments when they attended the major celebrations during the Chinese Spring Festival in Vancouver and when it turned out to be a tradition as well a passion that the local people from all circles of life held friendly feelings towards China. She hopes friends in BC would continue the friendly tradition to provide support to the Chinese Consulate General, so as to deepen pragmatic cooperation and promote the bilateral relations to a new stage.

Lieutenant Governor Guichon praised Consul General LIU Fei for her hard work and dedication to the bilateral relations, which have won respect from local communities and said, it was particularly meaningful and farsighted for Consul General LIU to have encouraged Chinese Canadians to contribute a share in renovating the tombs of early Chinese migrants in Barkerville, and send the martial arts group to performance in inland BC big cities and Yukon Territories. It was a pleasure to establish personal friendship with Consul General LIU. BC government will continue strengthening the working relationship with the Chinese Consulate General and achieve more new progress in mutual exchanges.
