H.E. LIU Fei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China Attended BC "Chinese Bridge" Mandarin Speech Contest

On May 3, H.E. LIU Fei, Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Vancouver attended BC "Chinese Bridge" Mandarin Speech Contest.

The Contest, held at the Coquitlam Confucius School, attracted more than 70 students from K to 12 grades, who came from multiple cultural backgrounds. Each of them spoke on the theme of "My Dream" in Mandarin for 3 minutes. The audience was deeply impressed by their capability to express ideas and thoughts by so beautifully utilizing the language.

Consul General LIU Fei made remarks at the award ceremony, saying that she was pleased to see the students' progress in learning Mandarin. With the growth of China's investment in Canada and mutual exchanges between the two countries, those who have the access to Chinese language in their early years will benefit while looking from long run. She wished the students play a key part to foster the friendship and cooperation between China and Canada in future.
